Ultimate Dodgeball

Following all the sport Y4 did in the morning, we then had to walk to Palatine Spots Centre to play dodgeball in aid of British Heart Foundation.

We played rounds and then the winners of the rounds played each other and until a winning team was found.

This was done across the juniors and the winning house will be announced in assembly this week.

Please remember to send the sponsor money into school.

Fit2Go exercise session

20 minutes handball in teams.

20 minutes circuit training.

20 minutes dance copying Bloomfield Bear.

Fit2Go parents workshop

We had a great time taking part in the Fit 2 Go programme. The children learnt a lot about making choices with the food they eat, the games they play and the exercise they do. Thank you to the parents who were able to attend the Parents Workshop and to the winners of the prize draw.

Beach School Day

We had a great afternoon on the beach, toasting marshmallows, creating beach art, foraging for shells and building a shelter. The children even claim I stated singing.

A taste of the things we did.

Learning to debate.

Granny shows Ben a tin of jewels and tells the stories, but should Ben join Granny in a life of crime?

Ben should join Granny in a life of crime.

These are just exciting stories and the jewels are fake ones.

Creating information posters

The task is to research an area of Anglo Saxon life, make some notes, choose the important facts to record on their posters and then tell the other class members during a presentation of their findings. Each member of the group has a role to play.

Parent Showcase

Many thanks to all of you able to come to school to see the children's work. They enjoyed singing and performing the Double Trouble song from Harry Potter, even though they became a little stage struck.

Well done children and families, thank you for your continued support.

Potato planting

We have planted our two varieties of potato tubers. We are taking part in real action research on behalf of the Potato Council. Which will have the biggest yield? Which will have the best taste?

More from today

Some great wow moments today. The children really enjoyed the awe and wonder of chemistry.

Researching Medieval Medicine

Exploring how they made people better in the olden days has created a lot of discussions.

The Aloe plant is used for burns, cloves are used for damage to teeth and they are still used today!

Ariel is introduced, creating a storm

Ariel is a spirit and has been voted to be the new leader of the island by the other spirits, as they felt he could do a good job. An evil spirit, called Sycorax, is enraged and puts a spell on all the spirits to become her slave for eternity.

In this photo we are reading through the scene about the storm which Ariel has created.
